Permanent Jewelry Training

This hands-on course is for anyone interested in learning to start a permanent jewelry business in the Bay Area.

Most online trainings charge you thousands of dollars and sell you a machine that they make a markup on. And you don’t get hands-on training with any online course. 

In this 4-hour course at our Walnut Creek location, you will learn from a jewelry-maker’s perspective how to do permanent jewelry welding and how to make some of the supplies you need:

• We will discuss the equipment and supplies needed to start your business.
• Hands-on instruction will be given in using an arc-welder to weld and the safety considerations you need to be aware of when performing permanent jewelry welding services. 
• We will compare 3 different models of welders in different price ranges so you can make an informed decision before investing in your welder.
• You will have a chance to use each welder and to practice your welding skills. 
• We will look at the types of chains on the market today and how to get your best price on chain, connectors and charms. 
• I will teach you how to make jump rings and some basic charms and connectors so you don’t have to buy them. 
  
  

This class is suitable for total beginners. You do not need to have any experience in jewelry-making to take this class.
